Defines the different modes under which a match will be attempted with an existing chat when the incoming message does not have a thread id.

Enum Constant Detail

NONE

public static final ChatManager.MatchMode NONE

Will not attempt to match, always creates a new chat.

SUPPLIED_JID

public static final ChatManager.MatchMode SUPPLIED_JID

Will match on the JID in the from field of the message.

BARE_JID

public static final ChatManager.MatchMode BARE_JID

Will attempt to match on the JID in the from field, and then attempt the base JID if no match was found. This is the most lenient matching.

Returns an array containing the constants of this enum type, in the order they are declared. This method may be used to iterate over the constants as follows:

for (ChatManager.MatchMode c : ChatManager.MatchMode.values())
    System.out.println(c);

Returns:

an array containing the constants of this enum type, in the order they are declared

valueOf

public static ChatManager.MatchMode valueOf(String name)

Returns the enum constant of this type with the specified name. The string must match exactly an identifier used to declare an enum constant in this type. (Extraneous whitespace characters are not permitted.)

Parameters:

name - the name of the enum constant to be returned.

Returns:

the enum constant with the specified name

Throws:

IllegalArgumentException - if this enum type has no constant with the specified name

NullPointerException - if the argument is null
